Obituary of James William Frampton

Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James (Jim) Frampton, 73, of Pittsgrove, NJ, formerly of Sewell, passed away on July 17th, 2015 in his home, due to a rare neurological disease. Jim was born in Woodbury, NJ to William E and Marie A Frampton on May 15th, 1942. He graduated from Paulsboro High School in 1960 and earned his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University in 1965. For 28 years Jim worked as a research engineer for Mobil Research in Paulsboro, running their product testing lab during that time. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, camping, hiking, biking, boating and skiing. Restoring and repairing jeeps and setting up and troubleshooting computer systems for family and friends also consumed much of his spare time. He was an active member of the Pitman Road Church of Christ, the Outdoor Club of South Jersey, Ducks Unlimited and the Salem County Sportsman's Club. Jim was also a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, the National Rifle Association and as a young man earned the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. Jim is survived by his wife and best friend, Millicent Moore, together for 28 years; his two sons, Daniel Frampton of Southampton, NJ and Brian (Patricia) Frampton of Sewell, NJ; his daughter Diana (Doug) DeKay of Penn Yan, NY; a granddaughter Leighann and two grandsons Kyle and Wyatt. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Susie (Matt) Downing, EJ (Kenthia) Monroe, and Melissa (Sean) Kavanaugh, his beloved dog Penny and many other loved ones. A memorial service will be held at Pitman Road Church of Christ in Sewell, NJ, on Saturday, July 25th, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Dan Cooper, Sr. Minister, officiating. The viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:00. A luncheon will follow at the church building. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pitman Road Church of Christ. Memories may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com. May Jim rest in peace and rise in glory. We grieve, but not as those who have no hope.
