Obituary of Fred R. Yates

Fred R. Yates, age 76 died on August 25, 2015. Born and raised in Washington Township, Fred has lived on Spring Lake for over 45 years. He retired from the New Jersey Carpenters Union Local 393. Fred was a long time member of Red Top Gun Club. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years Carol A. Yates (nee Mecouch), sons F. Dwayne (Annamaria), Bret T. (Kathi), Bradley A. (Staci), devoted grandfather of Shane, Travis, Chad, Reese, Zhili, and Laney. Brother of Frank (Josephine) and the late James A. Yates. Grandson of the late Florence and Walter Taggart. Nephew of Florence T. Murphy and Mildred Costello. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. His life celebration will be held at the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ on Saturday, August 29, 2015. Friends may call after 9am. Memorial service will be at 11am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Fred's name to Vitas Hospice, 521 Fellowship Rd, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054.
