Obituary of Dale Arthur Benesh

Dale Arthur Benesh, age 81 died on October 6, 2015. Born and raised in Billings, MT, Dale formerly lived in Illinois, Utah, Oregon and Idaho before settling in Washington Township, NJ with his family in 1979. He has lived in Pitman since 2005. Dale spent his career as a Parts Manager, first for Allis-Chalmers Farm Equipment for over 25 years and then with Komatsu for 10 years. He retired from the Gloucester County Special Transportation Department in 1999. He was a life time member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, with over 50 years of service. Most recently he was a member of the Clayton Elks Lodge #2132. He was also one of the founding members of the Deptford Elks Lodge #2708. Dale was very active within the Elks, serving in many different capacities such as State Vice President, State Trustee and Past District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler. He especially enjoyed working with the Special Children's Committee. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Linda L. (nee Hildreth), children Sandra (Bill) Murray, Christine (Michael) Harkins, and Brian. His grandchildren, who were his world, Zachary and Tyler Murray and Mackenzie and Michael Harkins. He is also survived by his sister Muriel Mitchell and two brothers Glenn and Ronald Benesh, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins all still living in the Montana area. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 1pm, at the Clayton Elks Lodge, 398 S. Broad St, Clayton, NJ 08312.
