Obituary of Alta H. Streeter

Alta Hall Streeter of Reading, MA, formerly of Pitman, NJ for over 30 years, passed away on November 27, 2015 at her home. She was born Alta Robbins Shaw on December 13, 1927 in Brattleboro, Vermont, to Ruth Robbins Shaw and Gilbert Stebbins Shaw. Alta was later adopted by her stepfather, Howard W. Hall. She married her husband, the late George A. Streeter, Jr., on October 29, 1946. They were married for over 53 years. Alta was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in her beloved Sewell Ward, Pitman, NJ, for over 30 years. She retired at age 76 from Pitman Jewelry Shop after over 25 years. Alta is survived by her 5 children, Gail S. Eaton (James) of Lehi, UT, Barry H. Streeter (Patricia) of Spring Grove, PA, Dawn S. Marshall (Brett) of Mays Landing, NJ, Michael A. Streeter (Pamela) of Greensboro, NC, and Greta S. Malstrom (Scott), of Reading, MA. She also leaves behind 27 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, a sister, Barbara Hansen, and 6 brothers – Donald Shaw, Douglas Shaw, Paul Shaw, Thomas Shaw, David Shaw, and Richard Shaw. She is predeceased by her sister, Emilie Hall Deangelo. Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 259 Lambs Rd, Sewell, NJ on Friday, December 4, 2015, at 1:30pm.
