Obituary of Margaret L. Bucklin

Margaret "Sunday" Vanderslice-Bucklin, age 91 years, died May 6 in Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Washington Township. Born in Camden, she was a longtime resident of West Deptford. She graduated from Glassboro State College, and had her Masters degree in Education. She taught at Blackwood Elementary School for over 40 years and as an inventor developed a Learning Table for elementary school children. She was active in Christ Episcopal Church in Woodbury where she was a member. Margaret was known to be kind and generous to all. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph E. Vanderslice, Jr. Survived by her children; Joseph E. Vanderslice III (Marion), David J. Vanderslice (Claudia), and Sue Murray, grandchildren; Joseph E. Vanderslice IV (Colleen), Douglas M. Vanderslice, John Vanderslice (Lauren), Lauren Vanderslice, Summer Donahue, and Michael Donahue. Also survived by great grandchildren, Joseph E. V., Leo, and Lucy, sister Florence DeCou, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends may call on Thursday from 9am to 10:45am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ.
