Obituary of Marshall William Brown

Marshall William Brown, age 89 died on June 6, 2016. Marshall has lived in Pitman since 1952. He was a Navy veteran serving from 1944-1946 in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. Marshall owned and operated Pitman Town Taxi from 1958-1970 and was the manager for Merit Gas in Oaklyn, NJ. He was a member of the Pitman United Methodist Church where he served as an usher and assisted with the junior choir. He was predeceased in 2011 by his wife of 62 years Harriett B. (nee Byrd). Survived by children Jerry (Laurinda), Barbara Vollmer, Robert (Audrey), Kathy (Thomas Sr.) Senior, Gary (Pat), Larry (Terry), Ron (Donna), 25 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Friends may greet the family on Sunday, July 3, 2016 after 1:30pm in the Pitman United Methodist Church, 758 N. Broadway, Pitman, NJ. Memorial service will be at 3pm.
