Obituary of Hildegard Dimond

Hilde Dimond (Pfeiffer), (nee Boehmler) passed into the Lord's hands on Wednesday July 13, 2016. Hilde was surrounded by her entire family in the days leading up to her passing. Hilde's family owned and operated Boehmler's Restaurant in Margate from 1945 until 1988. She graduated from Glassboro State College in 1973 with a BA in Elementary Education and was a Brigantine school teacher for over 25 years. She was demanding but quick to praise because she recognized the importance of self-esteem and confidence. She was a great mom, teacher and mentor. Thank you one and all for being a part of her life. Hilde loved to travel locally and around the world. She loved to watch her grandchildren participate in academic, sports and musical activities. Hilde's faith was strong and she was a board member of the Margate Trinity Methodist Church for many years. She was also a member of the American Association of University Women. Hilde is predeceased by her parents John and Katherine Boehmler, her first husband Willy Pfeiffer, a former Margate City policeman, and her second husband Joseph Dimond, a Margate City school teacher. She is survived by her 3 children Catherine Lawson (Ciccarelli) (nee Pfeiffer)and husband Ted, William Pfeiffer and wife Dottie, and Patricia Buggy (nee Pfeiffer) and husband Jim, 7 Grandchildren Nick and Haley Ciccarelli, Erik, Amelia and Andrew Pfeiffer, Nora and Eva Rose Buggy, a brother, Bill Boehmler of Annapolis, Md, and a sister Elizabeth Boehmler of Ocala, Florida. A memorial service will be held Friday morning July 22 at Central United Methodist Church located at 5 Marvin Ave, Linwood, NJ. Visitation begins at 0930. Service begins at 1100. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Margate Trinity United Methodist Church at 9500 Ventnor Ave. Margate City, NJ, 08402. All donations received in Hilde's memory will provide material for the making of Prayer Shawls by the Prayer Services People of Margate Trinity United Methodist Church to be offered to families in their time of need.
