Obituary of Emily F. Wilt

Emily Florence Wilt (nee Simon), age 92 years, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Friday, December 2nd. Emily was a resident of the Pitman Manor and previously resided in Glassboro for 65 years. She worked for 30 years at Rowan University in the Faculty Dining Room. She was a devout parishioner of St. Bridget's Roman Catholic Church and an active member of the Glassboro Senior Citizen Center. She was an avid walker, loved to read, and was an outstanding cook and baker. But to those who knew her best, she was an energetic, loving, generous and compassionate woman. Emily was predeceased by her husband Thomas and her 6 siblings. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Susan (Ed) Kortonick, and Shelley (Bill) Sheppard. Emily also leaves behind her grandchildren Kelle (Russell) Franzen, Ed Jr. (Kathy) Kortonick, and Bill Sheppard Jr., as well as the "loves of her life", her great grandchildren Ryan and Emily Franzen, and Kaitlin and Kristine Kortonick. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30AM to 10:45AM in St. Bridget University Parish, 125 Church St, Glassboro, NJ. Funeral mass at 11AM. Interment in St. Bridget's Cemetery.
