Obituary of Paul H. Geiger

Paul H. Geiger, 95 years, passed peacefully from this life on January 8, 2017 at home. Raised in Philadelphia, Paul graduated from North East Public High School in 1939 and Temple University in 1948. At the age of sixteen, Paul was the 1st Chair Violinist for the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, and played extensively at many Churches throughout the Delaware Valley and on radio. Paul proudly served in the US Coast Guard during World War II, from 1943-1946 aboard the USS Joseph T. Dickman, APA 13, in Africa and throughout the Pacific and European Theaters. Paul and Mildred raised their family together in Glassboro since 1958. In 1965 Paul and his late wife Mildred started PG Tool & Equipment Co., Inc. in Glassboro, which is now PG Tool Sales Agency, LLC, and based in Woodbury, NJ. Paul was a member of the Pitman United Methodist Church, a Past Master of Pitman Masonic Lodge F&AM 197, the Consistory Valley of Southern NJ and the Crescent Temple Shrine in Trenton, NJ. Paul was also a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla and the American Legion. Paul was an avid boater, a devoted husband, father, and baseball coach. He was predeceased by his wife Mildred (nee Kaufmann) and children Alan and Elaine. Survived by his children Ray (Debra), Larry (Nancy) and Diane; and grandchildren Brian, Scott and Gregory; and brothers Bruce (Linda) and Gary (Carol) Geiger. Friends may greet the family on Friday 6:30-8pm with a Masonic Service at 8pm at Pitman United Methodist Church, 758 N. Broadway, Pitman, NJ and on Saturday 10-10:45 followed by a funeral service at 11am. Internment at Manahath Cemetery.
