Obituary of Robert Andrew Yuhasz

Robert Andrew Yuhasz, 69, of Glassboro, NJ died at his home Tuesday, December 5, 2017 with his family by his side. Bob was born in Charleroi, PA on February 17, 1948 to the late Andrew and Margaret (nee Cupp) Yuhasz. He was raised in Monessen, PA and graduated from Monessen High School in 1966. He served in the Navy for 6 years. He earned a bachelor's degree from Glassboro State College (Rowan University), and worked as a Financial Analyst at Lockheed Martin for 34 years, retiring in 2015. He was a parishioner at Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish in Glassboro. Bob enjoyed long drives and exploring new places, and especially enjoyed his Sunday visits to Salem Oak Vineyards. He was a great storyteller with a quick wit, and had a compassionate heart, always thinking of and giving to others. He consistently promoted the dignity of the human person, inspiring his daughter's work in the Pro-Life ministry. In 1982 Bob married Frances Kathryn (nee Shannon) Yuhasz, who preceded him in death in 2010. Bob is survived by his daughter Shannon A. (nee Bendig) Cassidy and her husband Kevin of Pitman, NJ; son Jason and wife Carol Yuhasz, and grandchildren Vincent and Victoria of Gilbert, AZ; brothers David E. Yuhasz of Monongahela, PA, G. Ronald and wife Patricia Yuhasz of Pittsburgh, PA, and Andrew Jr. and wife Marcy Yuhasz of Monessen, PA; aunt and Godmother Margaret Latkanich of Monessen, PA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Monday 7-9PM and Tuesday 9:30-10:30AM at the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman NJ. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday 11AM in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 161 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memories may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Counsel Homes (www.goodcounselhomes.org).
