Obituary of Ruth E. Mecca

Ruth E. Mecca (nee Yeager), age 92 years, died on January 20, 2017, formerly of Camden, NJ, Dallas and Abilene, TX, and a resident of Pitman since 2010. She was a homemaker and mother of eight. Born in Camden, she was a member of the 1943 class of Woodrow Wilson High School. She belonged to Holy Family Catholic Church in Abilene where she was a member of the Ladies Share Group and the Fun Bunch. She was also a member of the Gamma Upsilon social/service sorority of Camden in the 1950's. Predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Leonard A. Mecca. Survived by her children; Carol L., Lorraine, Leonard A. Jr., George E., Randall C., Gerald A., and Kenneth P. Mecca, and Ruth Ann Pittman, 20 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. Also survived by her brother George W. Yeager, and sister Terry Ireland. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8PM and on Friday from 9:00-9:45AM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ.
