It is with great sadness that the family of William James McQuillan, Jr. announces his passing surrounded by his loving family on February 23, 2018 in Pitman, NJ. He was a long time resident of Medford Lakes, NJ.
Bill was born in Westville, NJ raised in Merchantville, NJ, by William and Elizabeth McQuillan. He graduated from Merchantville High School in 1944. Served in the Army during WWII. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Rider College in 1950. Bill worked for many years in banking and the private sector real estate appraiser, he also was a tax assessor for several local towns.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Joan (Doughty), his loving children Susan, Thomas (Geri), Nancy (Steve), Wendy (Mark), and William III (Juliet). Bill will be fondly remembered by his seven grandchildren Brad, Kelly, Jason, Megan, Chris, Ian, Eleanor and his three great grandchildren Ashley, Michael and Amelia.
A Celebration of Bill's life will be held on Saturday, March 3, at 10:30am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Friends may greet the family after 10am. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Hurffville, NJ.
