Obituary of Bertha L. Chatterton

Bertha Wanckel Chatterton (nee Bowen), age 99 died on May 13, 2015 at the Pitman Manor where she has lived since 1999. Bertha formerly lived in Delran, NJ for many years. She was the Delanco Township Clerk from 1973-1978. Bertha was former President of the Delanco PTA. She was an active member of Dobbins Memorial United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Choir. Bertha was also a member of the Delanco Senior Citizen's Club. Once Bertha moved to Pitman Manor, she became chairman of the Spiritual Life Committee and volunteered in various jobs. She also enjoyed doing needlework. Predeceased by her husbands Harold A. Wanckel and Edward R. Chatterton and son Eugene H. Wanckel. Survived by her daughters Doris E. Daniels, Ann Repece, 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Memorial service will be on Friday, May 22, 11:00am in Dobbins Memorial United Methodist Church, 330 Union Ave, Delanco, NJ 08075.
