Vernon A. Paul, age 86 years, formerly of Glassboro, died May 1 at Manor Care, West Deptford, NJ. Born in Swedesboro, NJ, he was a graduate of Swedesboro High School in 1936. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 45, fighting in Europe during World War II. He has been a resident of Glassboro since 1945 and was employed by E.I. DuPont Chamber Works for 42 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of VFW Post 679 in Glassboro, a driving and motorcycle enthusiast, an avid fisherman and hunter. He has wonderful memories of his time at Pitman Manor and enjoyed telling stories of World War II. Predeceased by his wife, Doris J. (nee Neiman), he is survived by his children Deborah Polocz (David Klemowicz) of Glassboro, Robert P. (Diane) of Cherry Hill, NJ, and Lori Branco (Chris) of Mullica Hill, NJ. Also, grandchildren, Kellie Shaw, Christi Valerio, Michelle Polocz, Brittany, Courtney, and Alexa Branco, 6 great grandchildren, sisters Doris Blane of Thorofare and Jane Lloyd of Colorado. Friends may call on Thursday after 10:00 AM at the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Avenue, Pitman, NJ. Memorial service at 11 AM. Inurnment Eglington Cemetery.
