Obituary of Glendora E. “Glendora” Haegele

Glendora E. Haegele (nee McCarty), age 102 years, died September 3 at Underwood Memorial Hospital. Born in RioGrande, NJ, she graduated from Clayton High School in 1923. She was a member of the first graduating class of Glassboro Normal School (Rowan University)in 1925. She moved to Pitman in 1936 and became a member of the Pitman United Methodist Church in 1937. She loved gardening and playing the piano. Predeceased by her husband George Haegele, son George H. Haegele, and granddaughter Laurie A. Haegele.
Survived by daughter in law Delores Haegele, grandchildren Marilyn, Steven, and Frank (Dee) Haegele, and Diane (Robert) Zimmerman, 8 great granddaughters, and 3 great great grandsons.
Friends may call on Friday, September 8 from 1 to 2 PM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. Those desiring may make a contribution to the P.U.M.C. Rebuilding Fund, P.O. Box 7, Pitman, NJ 08071.
