Obituary of Edward Matthew “Ed” McEvoy

Edward Matthew McEvoy, age 78 died on December 31, 2006 peacefully at his home in Pitman surrounded by his entire loving family. Ed was born and raised in Woodside, NY. He was a WWII and Korean War Navy Veteran. In 1961 he graduated from St. John's University where he was member of the Kappa Chapter of Omicron Chi Epsilon. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, the Knights of Columbus and Honorary Life Member of Highland Fire Co. He is survived by his wife Eleanor (nee Dowse), children Edward Jr. (Pam) of Mullica Hill, Mary (Samuel) Flamma of Pitman, Thomas (Fiance Jennifer) of Pitman, grandchildren Samuel Jr. (Julia), Daniel (Wendy), Matthew and Colleen Flamma, Edward, Mark, Stephen (Sabrina) McEvoy, Bonnie Karlie and Kyle Melnick, Zackary Boos, and great grandchildren Samuel, III, Nicholas and Jacob Flamma. Friends may call on Thursday after 7pm and Friday 9:30 10:30am at the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral mass will be on Friday at 11am in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Pitman Ave, Pitman. Interment Gloucester County Veteran's Cemetery.
