Tony was born January 1, 1929 in S. Philadelphia and moved to Pitman in 1946. He graduated from S. Philadelphia High School at age 15 and then attended Temple and Princeton Universities. He joined the United States Coast Guard and served as active duty, later serving for many years as reserve until he retired in 1989 as a Chief Warrant Officer (W-4). He operated a local Insurance agency and then worked full time as a civilian at Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington DC. He was a member of VFW Post 6469, Knights of Columbus, and a member and past president of Rotary International in Pitman for many years. He was the son of Charles and Josephine Caso. Tony is survived by his wife Dorothy, three children, Carl of Dublin, OH, Mark of Portland, OR, and David of Brooklyn, NY, sisters Jay McFadden, Barbara Taraska, Carol Caso, and brother Charles, several grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday from 6 to 7:30 PM at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CHURCH, 161 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Funeral mass at 7:30 PM. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
