Obituary of Linda A. Magill

Linda A. Magill (nee Peters), 72, of Sewell, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 in her home with her family by her side. She has resided in Sewell for over 50 years. Beloved wife of Samuel D. (Dave) Magill, Jr. for 54 years. Devoted mother of Jo Ann Magill and Samuel D. Magill III, both of Sewell. Dear sister of Irene Byrd and Howard (Donna) Hemingway. Predeceased by parents Harry and Edna Peters (nee Eatock), sister Carol Long and brother Bruce Hemingway. Dear sister-in-law of Thomas Long. Loving grandmother of Samuel D. Magill IV of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina. She leaves behind her beloved cat Furby. Linda grew up in Almonesson graduating from Deptford Township High School in 1963. After the children were in school full time, she returned to get her advanced education, receiving her RN from Gloucester County College (now Rowan at Gloucester County) in 1976, her BSN from Stockton College (now Stockton University) in 1984 and her CSN from Rowan University in 2002. Linda held various positions in the nursing field including floor nurse, infection control nurse, training instructor, physician's surgical assistant and school nurse. She retired from nursing in 2005. Linda enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, cooking and never gave up hoping for success from her beloved Phillies. She never met an animal that didn't bring joy to her heart. As she wished, services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
