Obituary of Benjamin G. Hitchner

Benjamin Garrison Hitchner, age 85 died on January 2, 2018 at his home in Pitman where he lived since 1966. Benjamin served in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1953-1955. He was a professor at Glassboro State College from 1965 until his retirement in 1995. Benjamin adopted the Native American way of living a simple life. Survived by his wife Mary W. (nee Walters), son Benjamin G. "Gary" (Jennifer), grandson Andrew G. (fiancé Brianne Zinns), brother Maier (Kathy) Hitchner and sister Estella Klohocker. He was predeceased by his son Stephen L. Funeral service will be Saturday at 11am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Interment Richwood Cemetery. Those desiring may make a contribution to the charity of choice.
