Obituary of William J. Crane

William J. Crane, 76, passed away at his home in Pitman on April 21 after a brief illness. A graduate of Collingswood High School, he earned Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Glassboro State College. He joined the Kingsway Regional High School faculty in 1969 as varsity basketball coach and taught English to two generations of Dragons while also coaching baseball, girls' basketball and girls' tennis until his retire- ment in 2002. He was inducted into the South Jersey Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Bill was a devoted husband to his wife of 50 years, Jacquelyn (nee Piper), and a loving and supportive father to John (Dana) and Susan (Donovan Maust). He was the proud Granddad of Alexandra, Carlton and Derek Crane and Anne and Cat Maust. Friends may greet the family on Thursday, June 28 froom 7-9pm and Friday, June 29 from 10am until the Memorial Service at 11am.
