Obituary of Ivan Scott Mingin

Ivan "Scott" Mingin, age 55, passed away on September 22, 2018, surrounded by his family, at his home in Malaga where he resided for over 20 years. Scott was born in Millville, raised in Mauricetown, and graduated from Millville. He was employed by the State of New Jersey as a Corrections Officer for 25 years, retiring in 2008. Scott was a member of the F.O.P., the P.B.A. and the Moose Lodge. He dedicated his time to his family and friends and would help anyone at any time. Scott enjoyed all kinds of sports, but had a real passion for soccer. Survived by his wife, of almost 21 years, Michelle D. (nee Simone), his two beautiful daughters, Emily Abigail and Allison Victoria. Also survived by his mother, Ruth (nee Newcomb) Mingin, sisters; Carol Ottinger, Ruth Robinson (late Paul) and Lynn Lewis (Leroy). Predeceased by his father, Ellis Mingin and brother, Ellis R. Mingin. Friends may greet the family on Friday evening from 6-8pm and Saturday at 10am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Services at 11am. Interment Wenonah Cemetery.
