Obituary of Kyle Lewis Roth

Please share a memory of Kyle to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kyle Lewis Roth, 63, of Washington Township in Gloucester County, New Jersey, died peacefully on December 5, 2018, at Penn Medicine's Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Forrest and Joy (Wambold) Roth. A 1974 graduate of William Allen High School, he also studied electronics at Lincoln Tech and Temple University. He worked as a network engineer, most recently for Fiserv. He met his wife, Regina, as a teenager when they both worked at a Gino's fast food restaurant in Allentown. They eventually got the smell of fried food out of their clothing and were married in 1981. They settled in Havertown and had three children, later moving to Washington Township. Safely ensconced in the suburbs of southern New Jersey, Kyle immersed himself in the joys of raising a family, which included paying for braces, attending day-long dance recitals, and driving children to swim team practice. The only mystery that remained unsolved in his life was how one of the world's most soft-spoken men could produce one of the loudest families on record. Regardless of decibel level, he reveled in his family, loved them fiercely, and guided them with good humor, which are admirable traits as well as important parental survival skills. To say he was not a very good golfer would be an understatement, but he was an excellent husband, father, brother, son, friend and co-worker, which we can all agree is far more important than a few 9 irons that might be sitting in the bottom of a water hazard here and there. He was an ardent fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, the Army Black Knights, Stone Harbor and a cold beer with friends. He was also a good-natured participant in his family's Disney World obsession, which would only seem strange if you skipped over the "loved them fiercely" part of the previous paragraph. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Jessica (Jeremy) Bomberg of Clarksburg, Maryland; sons Adam (Tabatha) Roth of Clayton, Delaware, and Major Michael (Sandi Greenfield) Roth of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sisters Karen (Dale) Bellesfield of Allentown and Kathryn (Charles) Reppert of Emmaus, Pennsylvania; brother Kent (Maria) Roth of Allentown; and seven nieces and nephews. His beloved grandchildren, Ryanne and Jaclyn Bomberg, Alex Galante, and Liam Roth, will be joined by another grandson Logan Kyle in June, and his family will make sure that he and all his cousins know the many qualities their grandfather possessed and that his love for them will live forever.
