Obituary of William Allen Schaffer

WIlliam Allen Schaffer Jr. died suddenly on January 19, 2019, at age 38 from surgical complications following a four-month-long battle with cancer. Bill leaves behind his wife, Melissa (Yaffe) Schaffer and his children Ariana Kenyon, Liam and Xavier Schaffer. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers Catherine Birkenheuer-Palmer, Lorraine (Patterson) Schaffer, and his brother Joseph Daniel Martin. He is survived by his parents Kate and Bill Schaffer; sisters Tina Lynn Crerand, Dani Cooke, and Tina Louise Parker. He will be missed by his mother-in-law Mary Lounsbury, many aunts and uncles: Pamela and Henry Birkenheuer, James Palmer and Kathi O'Neill, George Schaffer, Stephan Palmer, Sharon and Dino Parisi; brothers-in-law George Parker, Stephen Cooke and Benjamin Yaffe; sister-in-law Christina Jones; cousins: Laura Birkenheuer, Melissa Marshall, Hank Birkenheuer, Elli Palmer, Amber Schaffer; and nephews and nieces: Nathan Enders, Kayla Enders, Meghan Crerand, Kylee Martin, Brian Martin, Elliot Cooke, Maranda Parker, Juniper Cooke and Georgia Cooke. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Memorial service at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial at Manahath Cemetery on North Main Street in Glassboro, NJ. Family and friends are invited to gather after at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Dani and Stephen Cooke, at 227 Boulevard Avenue, Pitman, NJ.
