Obituary of Grace Virginia McCarty

Grace Virginia McCarty (nee Kandle), age 94, passed away on January 27, 2019. Born in the Chapel Heights section of Washington Twp, Grace lived in Sewell for 33 years. She moved to Ocean City and enjoyed spending her Winters in Naples, FL where she was secretary for the mobile park association. Grace graduated from Glassboro High School in 1941 and Pierce Business School. She worked for Campbell Bank and Trust in Camden for many years. Grace received her B.A. from Glassboro State College. She was a substitute teacher for Mantua Twp. Schools over 25 years and a homebound teacher for many years. Grace was also an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading the Bible. She was predeceased by her husband George, twin brother West Kandle Jr. and sisters Edith Rochat and Beatrice Nicholson. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family on Thursday after 10am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 11am. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
