Obituary of George Edward Ballinger

George "Jake" E. Ballinger, age 67, died on August 16, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family. Jake was born on June 24, 1952 in Woodbury, NJ to Emerson and Dorothy Ballinger. He was raised on their family farm on Breakneck Road where he continued to live and work, barefoot and proud. Jake graduated from Clearview High School. In addition to the farm, Jake also worked at UPS since 2005. He enjoyed hunting, especially in Maine, and adored tractor rides with his grandkids. Survived by his wife of 37 years Barbara L. (nee Ott), children Bridget and Joseph Massa, Teresa and Michael Moffa, and John, grandchildren Dillon, Thomas, Jacob, and Nora, as well as his siblings, nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family from 5-7pm on Wednesday, 8/21 in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service to follow at 7pm.
