Obituary of Wilda Harman

Please share a memory of Wilda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On the afternoon of February 9th, surrounded by her loving family, our sweet Wilda Laurene Harman joined her beloved Kenny in paradise. Wilda was 104 years old. She was born on March 11th, 1915 to Alva Guy and Clio Polen Fletcher and was the oldest of their four children. She was a graduate of Wheeling High School and Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing. In 1937, Wilda married Kenneth Arthur Harman and together they raised 2 children, Judith and James on Wheeling Island. Wilda loved her West Virginia Hills, WVU games and the Delaware Beaches. She was vibrant and active in the Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine and El Tor Grotto Auxiliary. She also was an active member of Thompson United Methodist Church, Pitman Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Yet Wilda's greatest joy was her family. She loved 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Kenny, her brothers Carl and Byron and she will be greatly missed by her sister Maxine Witzgal, her children and many very special nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday, February 14th, 2020 at Kepner Funeral Home in Elm Grove. Visitation 10:30 -1:00, service at 1:00pm with burial immediately. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice-5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053 or online Samaritannj.org/giving.
