Edward Warren Gorman, age 88, passed away on April 12, 2020 at Kennedy-Jefferson Hospital, Washington Twp. Warren was the son of Elwood and Noda Gorman, born July 4, 1931 in Pitman, raised in Pitman and Clayton and attended both local schools. He was one of 10 children, Clara, Charles, Elwood, Mary, Bernice, Raymond, Etta, Benjamin and Ellen. He had 37 nieces and nephews, all close and beloved. Husband of 68 years to Doris (nee Wargo), loving father of 2 sons David (Antoinette) and Michael (Susan), and grandfather of Heather Smith, Carleigh, Michael and Dylan Gorman, and Jennifer Thompson (Don). He was predeceased by cherished son Joseph Lee Gorman in 1974. So proud of his great grandchildren Natalie, Averie Rose and Jakson Cole. His youngest sister Ellen Worelle (Kent) lives in Florida. Such a large and great family, he loved them all. Warren served in the US Army 1952-1954. He was employed by Caufield Civil Engineers from 1955 until 1976 when he suffered a brain aneurism and did not work for 2 years. After recovery he came to work for the Borough of Pitman and was there until retiring in 1997. He really did believe "Everybody loves Pitman" and was active in the youth baseball program and American Legion Post #49. He enjoyed bowling and was so proud of his "300" game in 1994. There will be no services at this time. Family would appreciate remembrances to St. John of God, Westville, NJ and Anderson Cancer Center of Cooper Hospital, Camden, NJ in memory of Warren. He will be sorely missed. Memories may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com.
