Frank B. Kane, age 60, died on June 15, 2020. Raised in Pitman, Frank graduated from Pitman High School in 1978. He received the Mayor's Silver Medal Award later that same year for risking his own welfare to fight those fires. He served as Shade Tree Commissioner for the Borough of Pitman and was instrumental in getting the Borough the designation of Tree City, USA. Frank was a life member and Trustee of Highland Chemical Engine Company in Pitman, joining in 1978. He is a member of the Northeastern Loggers Assn, and the New Jersey Farm Bureau.
