Obituary of James Theodore Williams

James Theodore "Ted" Williams, age 73, died on July 10, 2020. Ted grew up in Indiana County, PA, received his bachelor's degree from Muskingum University in 1970 and his master's degree from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) in 1974. While attending Muskingum University, he met and married his wife, Barbara. He and his family have lived in Pitman since 1971. Ted taught English at Washington Township High School from 1974 until his retirement in 2002. He also taught Public Speaking at Rowan College of South Jersey. He was a devoted family man whose retirement coincided with the birth of his granddaughter in 2002, whom he referred to as "his new best friend." Ted enjoyed family time both in Pitman and at his home in Stone Harbor, NJ. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara (nee Bole), children James Theodore, Jr. (Danielle), Laura (Kevin) Monahon and granddaughter, Olivia Monahon. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
