Obituary of Opal J. Borchart

Please share a memory of Opal to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Opal June (Morgan-Butcher) Borchart of Pitman and Glassboro, NJ passed away peacefully on October 16 at the age of 92. She was the devoted wife of the late LeRoy R. Borchart, and the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Morgan of Grafton, West Virginia. She is survived by her son Dr. Ronald K. Butcher (wife Deborah) of Glassboro, NJ, grandsons Michael J. Butcher (wife Audra) and Jason. S. Butcher (wife Karen), granddaughter Aimee (Butcher) Russo (husband Anthony), and four great grandchildren. Born in Grafton, W.V., Opal was a proud descendent of Colonel Morgan Morgan (1688-1766) who was an American pioneer and one of the original settlers of the State of West Virginia. She relocated to Southwest Michigan in 1952 for post-World War II employment at Whirlpool Corporation, then moved to NJ in 1988 to be close to her son and family. Opal enjoyed traveling, golfing, snow skiing and playing cards; and, she truly loved returning to the mountains, hills and rocky streams of her "home" in West Virginia. Opal will be laid to rest in her "home" of West Virginia; adjacent to her late husband in the West Virginia National Cemetery. A graveside memorial will be held at the Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Angelic Health Hospice Care, 8025 Black Horse Pike, Suite 501, West Atlantic City, NJ 08232. Memories may be shared at http://www.kelleyfhpitman.com/.
