Obituary of Carol Lee Eckman

Carol Lee "Grammer" Eckman (nee Simpson), 76, of Pitman, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2020, after a resilient battle with brain cancer. Carol Lee was raised in Pitman, where she met her high school sweetheart Len, and has not left his side since! Carol Lee was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Pitman, where she dedicated herself to many different roles. She loved following her granddaughters' sports and traveling the East coast in her minivan. She enjoyed being active outside, gardening, and, of course, golf was her heaven on earth. Carol Lee devoted herself to helping others and always made everyone around her feel special and loved. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Len; her two children, Holly (Michael) and Steven (Kristin); and her 3 "chickadees" Nicole, Brenna, and Angelina. She is predeceased by her parents, Bertha and Edward Simpson, her brother, Robert Simpson, and her granddaughter Brielle. Visitation will be open for family and friends at Kelley Funeral Home in Pitman, NJ, on December 16, from 9-11AM. Burial will immediately follow the visitation at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Sewell, NJ. A Celebration of Life will take place on May 2, 2021 to honor "Grammer".
