Obituary of Marie Theresa Gougon

Marie T. Gougon (nee Buckley), age 68 years, passed away peacefully on December 11th at her home in Pitman on her 39th wedding anniversary. Born in Atlantic City, she was in the mortgage industry for most of her life, most recently as Vice President of Mortgage Services at Newfield National Bank. Marie was a very generous woman. She was always donating to the charities that meant the most to her and she had a love for animals. She was a long time devoted Catholic and her legacy will be remembered through the love and devotion she had for her mother. Predeceased by her mother Helen Buckley and her father James Buckley. Survived by her husband of 39 years, Ronald T. Gougon, stepdaughter Jaclyn Gougon Foss (David), grandchildren; Joshua Gougon, Emerie and Riley Foss. Also survived by her brothers; James and Daniel Buckley, sisters; Helen Aide and Maureen Pyne. Marie had 12 nieces and nephews: Frank, Ron, Theresa, Jennifer, Meghan, Bridget, Marie, Katie, Jimmy, Will, Danny and Martin, as well as her great nieces Olivia and Sloane, and great nephews Frankie and Grayson, brother in laws James and William Gougon, and pre-deceased by sister in law Mary Redrow. Friends and family are invited to attend her Memorial Mass on Friday, Dec. 18th at 10:30AM in Mary Mother of Mercy Parish, Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 161 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ.
