Mary L. Cerami (nee Moring), age 86, died on January 30, 2021. Born February 26, 1934, Mary was raised in Bellmawr, NJ and graduated from Haddon Heights High School in 1953. She and Joey raised their family in Barrington, NJ and then moved to Lower Alloway Creek. Mary was the wife of the late Joseph J. Cerami. Survived by her dearest friend Robert Handel, children Diane Lanken, Yvonne (Stephen) Smith, grandchildren Casey Joseph Lanken, Nathaniel Wyatt Lanken, Alexandra Roberts (Jeffrey Villanueva), Adam Roberts, Emily Smith and siblings Rose (Robert) Kelchner, Otto "Butch" Moring (Inez DelFico). She was predeceased by her sister Doris Cheeseman.
Mary was a creative force in every aspect of her life. She was entirely original. A gifted artist, a passionate activist, Mary added flavor to the lives of everyone around her. She was known by friends and family to be a talented cook, decorator, seamstress, gardener and painter.
She will be remembered for her beautiful home, her gardens and her artwork.
Services will be private. Mary's cremated remains will be joined with her husbands and their guide dogs in Acadia, Maine. Contributions may be made to the Salem County Humane Society, 214 N. Game Creek Rd., Penns Grove, NJ 08069.
