Obituary of Jean R. Stuart

Jean R. Stuart (nee Rawle), age 97, died on August 24, 2021. Born and raised in Minehead, Somerset, England, Jean worked on a dairy farm and attended college in Bristol until the area was bombed during World War II. During this time, Jean married Captain Donald Stuart from the 186th Field Artillery Battalion while he was stationed in England. Jean was known as a war bride and moved to the United Sates shortly after the war. Jean worked for Scandinavian Design as an Inventory Specialist for many years. Jean loved horses and English Football (soccer). After moving to the United States, she became a Philadelphia Phillies Fan and a member of the Lion and Eagles Club which was American/English Couples from World War II. She was predeceased by her husband Donald Parker Stuart and grandson Evan Douglas Stuart. Survived by her son Douglas Brent Stuart and his wife Patricia Ann, grandson Brent Christopher Stuart and sister in West Yorkshire, England Ursula Moore.
