Edward J. Crosbee, Sr., age 70, died on September 19, 2021. Edward worked for EI DuPont, Chambers Works for almost 40 years. Known as Big Ed by his family or Rab (Short for Rabbit, as apparently the big man was known to be fast on his feet by his co-workers). Legend has it he once had a foot race for a case of beer. Obviously, he won... Ed had a huge personality and left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Always willing to listen, would tell you you're wrong after listening, but willing to listen nonetheless. A bit grumpy??? A little. A passionate and caring man who loved his family??? ALOT!!!! Lived a 55 year love story with his wife Dot, whom he loved more than anything in this world. Ed & Dot knew each other since they were teenagers, and built a lasting marriage through ups and downs, lefts and rights, and everything in between. Through it all they were always there for each other. We all should be so lucky. He lived in Elk Township for the past 43 years. Edward was an Exempt Fireman with Pitman #1 Fire Company with his brother-in-law and Best Friend of 65 years Joseph Spera Sr (Louise) He was predeceased by his son Patrick Crosbee. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy E. (nee Jackson), children Colleen Crosbee, Edward Jr. (Marla), Megan Crosbee, and his beloved grandchildren, Louis, Ava, Ella, Abi (Hollywood), Madison, Brennan, Calen (My Little Buddy) and brother Francis Crosbee, Jr. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. A memorial will be held at a later date.
