Obituary of Robert Kenneth Stone

Robert (Bob) Kenneth Stone, age 86, died on October 14, 2021 at his home in Pitman, NJ where he lived since 1971. Bob was born and raised in Poyntelle, PA and graduated in 1954 from Preston High School, Lakewood, PA. Bob served in the US Army from 1954-1956. After serving in the US Army, he returned to Poyntelle to continue to help his father run their dairy farm. Once his father passed, Bob moved to Reading, PA to work for Agway. Eventually, he was transferred to Agway in NJ. Bob settled there and later changed jobs and retired from Petro Oil. Bob was a member of Highland Chemical Engine Company, the Pitman F&M Lodge #197. He enjoyed camping, gardening, boating, fishing, crabbing and woodworking as well as playing cards and doing jigsaw puzzles. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Survived by his wife of 64 years Helen Margaret (nee Buck), children Philip (Donna), Luanne Leach (Donald Sylvester), grandchildren Christopher (Nikki) and Michael Stone, Kyle and Brandi Leach, great grandson Trent Robert Stone and brother Kelsey Stone.
