Obituary of Richard William Kobylinski

Richard W. Kobylinski, 80, passed away peacefully March 1 watched over by his wife Betty. Born in Kensington in Philadelphia, his family moved to Pitman, NJ when he was 12, and he lived there for almost 65 years. He graduated from Pitman High School in 1959. Rich served with the US Air Force 1962-66, where he worked on B-52 navigation and bombing systems for the Strategic Air Command at Griffiss AFB in Rome NY. His career had significant tenures with Eaton Yale and Towne, Texaco, JC Penney, and independent work as a painter. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed travelling. He served as a past president of the Pitman Democrat Club and the Pitman Food Co-op. Survived by his wife Elizabeth A. (McNaughton) and sons: Richard (Jackie) of Horsham PA, David (Julie) of Somerset NJ, and Mark (Susan, deceased) of Mullica Hill NJ, and grandchildren: Olivia, Ryan, Jane, Isabella, and Tyler. Also survived by his sister Irene (Mike) Domican of Felton, DE and Robert (Camy) of Medford, NJ, and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by brother Gene and his wife Carol. Friends may greet the family after 9:30am on Saturday in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 11am. Interment Gloucester County Veteran's Cemetery.
