Alberta B. Iannotti (nee Jackson). age 91, a proud resident of Pitman for 66 years, entered eternal life on March 26, 2022 at the Pitman Manor surrounded by her family. Alberta was born and raised in Pine Hill, NJ to William A. and Elsie M. Crowe Jackson on January 10, 1931. She graduated from Lower Camden County Regional H. S. (now Overbrook Regional) in 1949, and married James W. Iannotti on September 2, 1950. Alberta was employed by the Pitman Board of Education for 17 years, and served as a Middle School Secretary. As a charter member of St. James Lutheran Church in Pitman, Alberta shared her beautiful soprano voice with the choir, and volunteered in every area where her help was needed. Alberta spent much of her time supporting activities in which her children participated, and was their biggest fan. She served as PTA President, Girl Scout Leader, Little League team mom and Auxiliary officer, and in the PHS sports and band parent booster clubs. She nominated the 1972 Baseball team for inclusion in the PHS Sports Hall of Fame. After her husband Jim's death from cancer in 1989, she volunteered at the Gloucester County Cancer Society and was named "Volunteer of the Year". An expert seamstress, she sewed her daughter's wedding gown, knit countless Christmas stockings and cross-stitched hundreds of pieces which she shared with family and friends. We hope you remember the love she had for you while you continue to enjoy each piece. She loved traveling to play golf with Jim, and enjoyed her card club and Red Hat Ladies outings. On August 1, 1998, she married J.E. Palace (Yogi). They traveled around the world, and especially enjoyed vacations to Colorado to visit his family. For many years, they continued the annual tradition of hosting a July 4th barbecue at the Iannotti home on Spruce Avenue. Alberta is lovingly remembered by her devoted children, Stephen W. Iannotti (Roseanne) of Logan Township and Wendy M. Whipple (Bruce) of Andover Township, NJ. Her granddaughters: Jamie M. and Molly K. Whipple, and Lucy Iannotti, who loved their Grammy very much. Her sister, Catherine Rowand, of Orlando, FL and her beloved sister-in-law, Marjorie K. Lewis (William) of Rehoboth, Del.
