Obituary of Philip J. Reuter

Philip "Jake" Reuter IV, age 64, died on May 5th, 2022. Jake lived in Richwood, NJ his entire life. He was the owner of Mt. Pleasant Orchards in Richwood, NJ along with his father, uncle, and two brothers. Jake worked on the family farm until 2008/2009. A few years later he began working at Eastern Propak as the Facilities Maintenance Manager. Jake was also a Trustee in the Richwood United Methodist Church for 17 years. Jake was an avid hunter and member of the Richwood Buck Hunters. Jake's true passions in life were his family, his granddaughter, his faith, working on the family farm, coaching and traveling to his son and daughter's sporting events. He also enjoyed Walt Disney World, and going to and watching the Philadelphia sports teams. Jake was a man of great faith, integrity, and loyalty. Jake was the loving and devoted husband of Donna (nee Taggart) the devoted father of Jake (Jessica) Reuter and Katie Reuter, and beloved grandfather to Lillian. Survived by brothers Bud (Rita) Reuter, Lou (Diane) Reuter, and sister Carol (Charlie) Zimmerman. Also survived by father-in-law and mother-in-law Walter and Louise Taggart, brothers-in-law Richard (Michelle) Taggart, Jim (Robin) Taggart, sister-in-law Jeanne (Don) Harkins, and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call from 9am - 11am Saturday May 14th, 2022 at the Richwood United Methodist Church, 104 Richwood Road, Richwood NJ 08074. Memorial service at 11am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Richwood United Methodist Church at the above address.
