Carol Calabrese (nee Azzarano), age 74 years, died May 20 at her home in Glassboro, surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia, she had lived in Glassboro for over 34 years. She was a self employed day care provider and an amazing wife, mom, gram/mam and the most selfless woman you ever met. Carol was a very family oriented person, loved being together. To know her is to love her and she always made sure you had something to eat. Carol was predeceased by her brothers Ralph and Tad Azzarano.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, John P. Calabrese, children; Anthony (GiGi) Rao, Natalie (Michael) Ward, Steven (fiancée Fabiola) Rao, grandchildren; Allie (Bobby) Hassan, Anthony (Alex) Rao, Michael, Joey, Deanna, Stephanie, Serena, Santino, and Sabrina, and great grandchildren; Vienna, Parker, Colin, and Vincenzo. Also survived by her nieces and nephews, Jeff, Chris, Nicky, Jen, Lisa, Stephanie and great nephews, Nicholas, Matthew, and Luca James and her best friend, Del McHale.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 – 10:45AM in Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 500 Greentree Rd, Glassboro, NJ. Funeral Mass at 11AM.
