Dr. Russell Howell Hunt, O.D., age 94 years, died May 31 at the United Methodist Homes in Pitman. Born in Camden, he had lived all of his life in Audubon, NJ before moving to the Pitman Manor eight years ago. He attended Temple University a year before serving in the US Navy. He served from from 1945-48. After the Navy, He attended the Pennsylvania State College of Optometry, graduating in 1953. He was an optometrist in Audubon and was known for serving the community and helping others. "Howell" enjoyed skiing with his family and going to Lake Wallenpaupack in the Pocono Mountains. He loved playing the organ after dinner and continued to do that after his move to the Pitman Manor.
He is survived by his nieces; Betty Kosloski, Janet (Jim) Robinson, and Judy (Bill) Propert and grand nephews and nieces Jeff, Rusty, Jennifer, Steve, Coleen, and Sandra.
