Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Kelley

Elizabeth (Betty) A. Kelley, age 91, died peacefully surrounded by her children on May 26, 2022. Betty was a loving wife, mother, mom-mom, and great mom-mom. She and her husband Tom lived in Pennsauken, where they raised six children together. Betty spent many joyful summers making memories with her family in North Wildwood. After working at JCPenney for 30 years, Betty enjoyed her retired years traveling with her sister Marie. Always enthusiastically observant and keen for details, Betty relished in hearing about the many successes and endeavors of her eight grandchildren. Betty's days were typically bookended by piping hot coffee in the morning and a bowl of chocolate ice cream in the evening ā€“ doctor's orders, of course! Betty was most proud of her time spent with her friends while participating in the St. Cecilia's Alter and Rosary Society, the Twentieth Century Jets and the St. Peter's Senior Ministry. Through her faith and prayer, Betty was an inspiration to all who knew her. Betty was predeceased by her loving husband Tom and son, Christopher, and daughter-in-law, Dee. She is survived by her children, Tom Kelley, Mary Beth (Mark) DeGeorge, Kathleen (Tom) Barth, Tim (Cathy) Kelley, Brian (Wendy) Kelley. Grandchildren, Sean (Trish) Kelley, Christopher (Audrey) Barth, Glen (Rachel) DeGeorge, Greg (Emily) DeGeorge, Thomas Kelley, Mary Catherine Kelley, Lila Kelley and Emma Kelley. Great grandchildren, Aidan, Shannon and Jane. Friends will greet the family from 9:30 -11:00 on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Avenue, Pitman NJ. Prayer service will begin at 11:00am. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery.
