Obituary of Phyllis M. Bullock-Beaufait

Phyllis M. Bullock-Beaufait, age 71, died from breast cancer on July 25, 2022 at her home in Glassboro. She was surrounded by loving warmth and care from family. Raised in Glassboro, Phyllis graduated from Glassboro High School in 1969. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Glassboro State College (Rowan University) in 1973. Phyllis began her career as a third grade teacher in the Glassboro School System. She continued her education and received her Master's Degree in Guidance Administration from Glassboro State College. After 24 years as teacher, she shifted to the role of elementary school Guidance Counselor for an additional 23 years. Phyllis retired in 2010 after 37 years in the Glassboro school system. She was beloved by student, parent and colleagues alike. She was active in the Gloucester County Guidance Counselor's Association and received a state wide award as Gloucester County's "Counselor of the Year". Phyllis was also a member and past deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Pitman. She was an avid golf enthusiast and enjoyed playing many, many rounds of golf with good friends. She was loved by countless friends for her fun-loving nature, lightness and genuine kindness toward others. Phyllis is survived by her husband Gary Beaufait, sister Barbara (Harlan) North, sister in law Lynn Bullock, nieces and nephews Denise Patton, Kristi (Jeff) Procaccino, Harlan (Amy) North, Brian (Renee) North and many grand nieces and nephews and many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Alice (Joyce) and Ralph Bullock, Sr. and her brother Ralph Bullock Jr. Friends may greet the family on Friday, July 29 from 6-8pm in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Memorial service will be 10am on Saturday July 30 in the First Presbyterian Church of Pitman, 10 Wildwood Ave, Pitman, NJ 08071. Interment immediately follows at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Pitman at the address above or to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation at www.bcrf.org.
