Marcia Lynn Richards (nee Cheeseman), age 73, of Pitman, NJ, passed away on July 31, 2022 surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with kidney disease. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Duncan W. and Dorothy J. Cheeseman of Gloucester City, NJ. She left behind her adoring husband of 51 years, Ralph J. Richards, Jr. of Pitman, NJ, her daughter Nicole L. Buckman (Richards) of Newark, DE and her son Ralph (Bubba) J. Richards, III and his wife Danielle (Bernhardt) of Monroeville, NJ. In addition, she leaves behind her beloved grandchildren John E. Buckman of Philadelphia, PA, Zachary A. Buckman of Newark, DE, William (Billy) Richards of Blackwood, NJ and Paige Richards of Monroeville, NJ. She also leaves behind her sister Carole Russo and her husband Tony of Carmel, ME and her nieces and nephews Andrew (Summer) Russo, Lisa (Jeffery) Boutwell, Donna (Jerry) Sawtelle and Kathy Russo. She also has several great nieces and nephews. Marcia was the best wife, mom, and Grand Ma Ma (GMM) ever!!! She hated shopping and loved antiquing. She did not wear make-up or jewelry but loved to cook. She would always light up the room with her smile and quick wit, even though she did not like being around people. She loved her "stuff" which included her varied collections of Penny Dreadful Valentines, taxidermy animals, antique hair pictures and pink/green depression glass. She loved her juke box and pinball games and was so proud of her yellow Volkswagen bug ("Daisy"). She will always be remembered for her sense of humor and her uniqueness. She loved her nickname "Dreadful Marcia", but her personality was quite the opposite. We will miss her terribly but will never forget the love and many laughs we had with her. As she would say, "Don't think it hasn't been nice, because it hasn't." Services will be private held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Bayada Hospice, 800 Grove St, Suite 300 Haddon Heights, NJ 08035 or a local animal shelter of your choice. A special thank you to her nurse Carolyn and health aide Shakema "K". The family really appreciates the love and care they gave to her.
