Obituary of June Edithe Wilson

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, June Edithe Wilson of Wilmington, DE, a beloved sister, aunt and friend passed away. She was 91. The daughter of Edithe Burgess and George William Wilson of Mullica Hill, New Jersey, June graduated from Glassboro High School in 1948 and worked for the E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company at the Repauno Works and Wilmington headquarters until retirement in 1992. June was very active in the Wilmington community: a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a founding member of Sojourner's Place, her kind, loving and generous spirit will be missed by many. She loved to travel and visited many places both foreign and domestic, and especially enjoyed a good book beneath a palm tree or poolside. She had a longstanding love of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Eagles, almost never missing a game. June is survived by her brother George Wilson, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie, nephews Jay, Christopher and Steven and many loving nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 3 at 3:00 P.M. at Grace United Methodist Church, 900 North Washington Street in Wilmington.
