Obituary of William Edward White

William E. White passed away on November 19th, 2022 at age 81. Born in Philadelphia, he graduated from Paulsboro High School 1959, and shortly after enlisted in the U.S. Army. After his enlistment he worked at the United States Postal Service for 36 years in Pitman, New Jersey. Bill was the coach of the first soccer team in Pitman and coached Babe Ruth Baseball for 20+ years. William White was an avid reader, who took a particular interest in history and also had a passion for sports. He loved to keep in touch with his friend Bruce Higbee on Tuesdays then Jim Emerick and Ted Pohlig on Wednesdays by getting breakfast. His wife of 57 years Elizabeth Rose Wilson, predeceased him by 5 months. William is predeceased by his parents William M. White and Maria G. White. He is also predeceased by his son Joseph White, daughter-in-law Nina P. White, and brother Thomas White. William is survived by his sons William M. White and Joseph (Andrea) Taylor, grandchildren; Taylor White, Ryan White, Persephone White, Ava Taylor, and daughter-in-law Adrian White. William also leaves behind a brother David (Laurie) White, sister Mary Ella (Gene) Jeffers. Friends may call on Wednesday, November 30th from 10-11am in the Kelley Funeral Home at 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, New Jersey. Memorial service will be hosted at 11am.
