Obituary of Ann R. Leypoldt

Ann R. Leypoldt (nee Marano), age 83, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2022. Ann was born and raised in Philadelphia and lived in Pitman over 30 years before moving to Glassboro and eventually Blackwood. Ann worked as a Sales Manager for Sid's Clothing in Glassboro. She also volunteered for many years at Our Lady Queen of Peace as a CCD teacher. She enjoyed crocheting and reading, but what gave her the most joy in life was her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Carl H. Jr, brother Louis Marano, and great-grandson Dominic Thurston. Survived by her children Betty Jean (David) Hampton, Edward (Loraine) Leypoldt; grandchildren Jennifer (Sam) Thurston; Megan (the late Joe) Pirri; Jonathan (Megan) Leypoldt, Nicholas (Amanda) Leypoldt, Emily and Abigail Leypoldt; Jordan, Gianna and Jaxon Altiery; great grandchildren Alyssa Baker, Colton and Autumn Leypoldt; and sister Janet (Carmen) Capanna and many nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family on Saturday after 9:30am at Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, PItman, NJ. Memorial Service will be at 11am. Interment will be at a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a contribution to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
