After living two years in Rochester, they moved to Warrensburg where they began to raise their children. They lived there for 10 years until their move to New Jersey. Their move to New Jersey opened the opportunity to serve as the Gloucester County 4-H agent in 1970. He served as an adjunct professor with Rutgers Extension Service and taught classes on stress management. He also served on the Board of Education for Washington Township. After retirement, he had his own Radio Show called, "Talk of the Town" where he spotlighted special guests from the community.
