Obituary of Ruth Bertha Gerrity

Ruth Bertha Gerrity, age 95, died on February 6, 2023. Formerly of Pitman, Ruth lived in the Park Place development of Washington Twp for 28 years. She worked as a secretary of the Superintendent of Pitman School System for many years, retiring in 1986. Ruth volunteered with Meals on Wheels, the Philadelphia Phillies, and at Kennedy Health in Washington Twp. Most importantly, Ruth loved the church and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and sisters, and cheering on the Phillies. She was predeceased by her husband Nicholas G. Gerrity, and her sister Pauline Meyer. Survived by her children John "Chip" Gerrity (Susan), Robert Gerrity (Barbara), and Judi Gerrity. Seven grandchildren, Thomas, Heather, Joseph, Ashlee, Lauren, Nick, and Danielle and 13 great grandchildren along with sisters Alice Schaeffer and Rose Marie Schmitt. Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.
