Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Drinkwater

Please share a memory of Elizabeth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Elizabeth Anne Drinkwater (Bulkley), age 84 (known by most as Anne), died on February 6, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband Phillip E. and son Timothy E. Survived by her children Phillip F. "Skip" Drinkwater III (Sallie), Cheryl Loghry, Ronald J. (Margaret), Sandra M. Christiansen (John), Ted E. Drinkwater (Allyson), Marilyn Torowus (Mark), Amy E. Kirkwood Bill), Donald M., and Dayna C. Francis, 30 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Anne grew up primarily in Haddon Heights and raised her family in Pitman. She dedicated her all to her children, family, and faith to the very end. Towards the end of raising her children, Anne returned to work as a secretary for Bezelon and Less Law Firm in Philadelphia and always made fast friends on the bus ride from Pitman. She was loved at work for her intelligence, dependability, lost art of shorthand, and typing speed clocked at 90 words per minute. She was the underdog's champion and a hopeless romantic/matchmaker. She encouraged her grandchildren of the appropriate age with love interests to get married and have children. She observed and laughed that most millennial couples of the day seemed to have dogs rather than kids:). She was known for her fun and creative way of expressing herself and writing. Her children and grandchildren all have their favorite expressions and mimic them often to get a laugh out of her and each other. While maybe not her most creative, her most used trademark comment was "Your halo is shining!" if she saw or found out you did something helpful or kind. Because of her faith in Jesus Christ and ours, we are not devastated or in deep mourning, though we have tearful moments as we remember our times together that we wish could continue. We will miss everything about her for a time, but we have a strong faith and belief that we will catch up to her and other loved ones who have gone before us and be reunited. When departing or hanging up the phone, it was her habit to say"Bye for now." In the long run, this good-bye will be short-lived and we know we'll be together soon. We love you! Visitation will be 9:30-10:45am on February 18th followed by a funeral service at 11am in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 259 Lambs Rd, Sewell, NJ 08080. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Those who would like to make a donation may contribute to the church at the above address. Memories may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com
